As you may be aware, your grandmother has a remarkable ability to be loved by everyone she meets. These pictures depict some of those who have come within her loving influence in Japan. There's her tatting friend Komiko, all of 4' 7" tall; there's our current favorite missionary friend, Sister Takobori; there's a lady she bought a knitted bag from who was thrilled to let me take their picture together; there's the Johnstons with whom we shared a delightful safe-arrival dinner of gyoza; there's the Watsons whom we hosted for a day or two before seeing them off at the airport; there's our Nepalese friends Christin and Koran, there's her dear Halloween friend, Kyoko. Lovely people all. It's our anniversary, and I feel greatly blessed to have shared these 51 years with her. I wish for each of you, when the time is right, that you will meet the love of your life and share an eternal relationship together. Nothing in life has brought me more joy, unless it is our children and grandchildren.
